Farm revisited

Lucas was not in the mood for lessons, and it was a beautiful day, so we went back to my sister's farm on Wednesday. We fed the chickens, collected the eggs, and built a fire before my sister arrived from her errand. The goats were curious about Zachary in his bright blue chair. The pond, that was just a hole dug many months ago, is now full!

Fall Festival

Aunt Melanie invited us to join them at the Summit Fall Festival Sunday. We had a great time, and it was Zach's turn to wear the pumpkin costume.

anniversary outing

We celebrated my parent's 39th anniversary by going out to my sister's farm to help her burn the trees she cut down last spring, now that the burn ban is lifted. It was a beautiful day, but we only made a small dent in the stick population.

Zach had a play date with his cousin last Thursday. There's only an 8-month age difference, and they already enjoy playing together.

We spent a few hours at the park after school last Tuesday. Timmy and Lucas enjoyed playing in the sand with a friend from school. Zach tried out the baby swing for the first time.

Field trip

Zach and I chaperoned a field trip that Lucas' class took to the Zoo Keeper exotic pet store this morning. Here are the bearded dragon and the red-eyed tree frog.

Hello baby

Lucas took the first picture of his little brother, I took the second. There's just something amazing about babies, especially their smiles and laughter.

Cub Scouts

Lucas finally made it to his first Cub Scout meeting last weekend. Although he was reluctant to go, he had a great time.
