We celebrated the anniversary of Timmy's baptism with his godparents yesterday. Timmy had fun telling everyone he met that it was his Baptisimal Day (most had no idea of what he was talking about). I think it's a great excuse to celebrate, since he was too young to remember the event himself.

Monkey bars

Lucas is very proud of himself for being able to make it across the monkey bars without help. He's also about to lose his first baby teeth. If you're wondering about the hat, playgroup this week had a dress-up theme... fairies and friends.

Wedding

I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked at the wedding, the boys were being a handful. It is unwise to expect two young children to sit through a wedding mass after sitting through a three-hour drive to get to the wedding.



The cakes were lovely (and delicious). The boys enjoyed entertaining the other guests by their "dancing" (more running around the dance floor with Mac, the 2 year old boy they befriended). Julie was a beautiful bride, but the picture I took of her didn't come out so I won't include it here.

Carousel

There was a two-story carousel at the mall that really brightened up the food court. We took a couple spins. Lucas had more than he bargained for when he rode the spinning teacup with two other energetically spinning boys on his second trip around.

Friends

We went to Houston over the weekend to celebrate a friends' wedding. After driving three hours through the driving rain, we met up with some friends at the mall to burn off some energy before the ceremony. It was a challenge getting all four boys to hold still long enough for a picture, but here's the best attempt.

Columbines

I fell in love with columbine flowers during the summer I spent in Colorado. We have some planted in our front yard, and this year was the first time they bloomed... on Easter Sunday.

Pajamas at the park

Timmy loves wearing his pajamas... all day long. It was a beautiful day Wednesday so after Lucas did his lessons we went exploring at the park. I stopped for gas on the way home and realized that my credit card had fallen out of my pocket. We went back and retraced our steps, and amazingly enough it was still lying on the grass where it had fallen. I was very relieved. Thank you St. Anthony!

Mission accomplished

Work day at Aunt Christine's farm

When my parents returned from Illinois, they brought back 22 chicks from Uncle Jimmy in Ohio. My sister has been working feverishly to build a home for them and we went out yesterday to deliver the chicks, help finish the coop, and enjoy the beautiful day. Lucas also helped Meemaw connect power to the RV. It's amazing how much Christine's farm has developed in the last three months. In a few months there should be (hopefully) some free-range eggs available for sale. Eggs anyone?
