Ice Cream!

Lucas playing on the playground after taking a tour of Amy's Ice Cream. Timmy was very sad that he didn't get to try any ice cream. It was a beautiful day to be outside Tuesday after the cold front came through.

Timmy is trying out one of our new kid-sized chairs. We thought it would be nice to have a kid-sized table for when we have other little ones over, and for Lucas to use as a desk. Our church happened to have some they were trying to sell. 

Hair Cut

Lucas had his second trip to the barber, I think it makes him look older. 

It's the little things...

like Timmy being able to sit up well enough that I don't have to carry him in the sling when we go shopping.

Double date

Thanks to some miscommunication, our "date night" turned into a double date... Doug fielded Lucas's questions while I tried to console Timmy, who was not happy to wake up in a hibachi (grill-at-the table) style restaurant.

Close shave

I let Lucas wipe off the shaving cream with the bladeless plastic razor cover. 

Shaving cream, feel nice and clean

Lucas loves watching daddy shave. Last night, as I was getting ready for our "date night," he decided to help himself to some of daddy's shaving cream. 

So happy together

Timmy thinks Lucas is a great big brother, and I agree. 

Lounging in the pool

Timmy, Lucas, and I had a great time at Brady and Kira's splash party this morning. There were PB&J sandwiched shaped like fish, and cupcakes too! Thanks so much Debbie! 

Half Birthday

Timmy is six months old already! He's now 18 lbs 5 oz and 27 inches long. We've started a tradition of celebrating the first half-birthday by enjoying a yummy dessert (on his behalf since he can't have any yet). Lucas helped me make this cherry pie. 

Book Worm

Timmy used to love hearing me read to Lucas. Now that he's older, he's more interested in experiencing the books for himself. 

Bouncy time

Lucas is a good teacher. After a few demonstrations Timmy was having a great time!

Lucas was teaching Timmy how to use the doorway bouncer. 

Ball! Where are you!

This was Lucas's favorite part of bowling. He and some friends would call to the bowling ball to help it appear.

Bowling

Lucas went bowling today for the first time. Between the handicap rails and the bumpers, he scored about as well as I normally do! Even bowled a strike and a spare. 

Lucas Rocks

We all had lots of fun playing guitar hero. Now if I could only get those songs out of my head!

Baby Baby

Timmy had fun playing with Peter at our friend's going away party last night. Don't worry Timmy, Peter's not the one moving. We'll miss you David and Greg!

Let's make noise!

Lucas really enjoys playing with our friend Erin's drumset. I'm really glad we don't have one at our house.

Hooray.. for you! Hooray.. for me! Hooray.. for the.. Kolache Factory!

The Kolache Factory across from us is now open! We celebrated with some breakfast kolaches this morning. This is not good news for my waistline.. :)

Sittin' pretty

Timmy is getting much better at sitting up by himself, although he'll still fall sideways when you least expect it. 

Record heat

It's the hottest day of the year so far, so of corse we spend it playing outside. We had a great time hanging out in our friend Lane's backyard (a.k.a. personal amusement park). Didn't even notice the heat (100 degrees) until we got in the car to drive home. 

Play time

Sometimes I wonder what Lucas is working on. Cooking? Maybe some sort of experiment? Whatever it was required a lot of concentration.
