Day off from school

Lucas had the day off from school as they prepare the facilities for a funeral tomorrow. We went with a friend to the children's museum and saw the new En Mi Familia exhibit, which is very well done.

Spring hail

Watching the hail come down in our backyard on the Feast of the Annunciation. We were supposed to have a T-ball game that evening, but it was postponed at the last minute and we got back home just before it started to hail. Not great pictures, but you can see the size of the hail we collected in the yellow bowl I'm holding.

Rodeo

I have not been very good about posting pictures the last few weeks, so here's an update.


We had a great Spring Break... spent Monday with friends at the atrium. Tuesday Timmy had his feet X-rayed because he'd been limping after a fall last week, but they were fine.


Wednesday we were at the Redbud center for 4 1/2 hours enjoying the first annual Clean Water Festival. Several of our friends came too. The boys especially loved the fountain modeling the Highland Lakes dam system, we stayed and played there long after the festival was over. On Thursday Aunt Melanie and Uncle James took Lucas to the Rodeo while I watched Timmy and baby Anne at home. It was a peaceful afternoon for me. Thanks for the pictures, Lucas had a great time! Friday we had an early playgroup at Springwoods park. Saturday was another T-ball practice. Lucas and Doug have their first game today.




In other news, my Lenten resolution (besides spending less time on the computer) was to get rid of unneeded clutter around the house, do some much-needed cleaning, and set up a maintenance schedule to make it easier to keep a clean, well-ordered house. I'm also trying to schedule in regular times for prayers and breaks, and re-reading "A Mother's Rule of Life" by Holly Pierlot. I've noticed a big improvement, and the kids are starting to pitch in more as well.

Doug purchased a Wii and he and the kids have been enjoying working out on Wii Fit together.

My parents are spending time with their parents in Illinois and Ohio, and my sister now has something better than a tent to live in at her property, so she'll be spending fewer nights with us.

It's a boy!

I just realized - we posted on Facebook, but not on here. We went to Teresa's 20-week ultrasound last week, and after some squiggling and squirming, the tech was able to pick out some boy parts!

After Lucas Simon, Andrew Philip, and Timothy John, we're rapidly running out of New Testament figures to name our boys after!

My sister's Great Pyrenees dogs had puppies, and they are too cute! Even Lucas, who is afraid of dogs of all sizes wasn't afraid of them. She is offering them for sale, let me know if you're interested. They grow to be as large as a small sheep.
