Thanksgiving Campout

Bastrop Thanksgiving

at the museum

We enjoyed another trip to the museum on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. It was more crowded than I expected, mostly out-of-towners.

Boys

This is the sight that greeted me when I called the boys in for dinner. Needless to say, the food was cold by the time we got around to eating.

I survived

It took a bit of work planning, packing, and setting up camp with just the three kids to help, but we managed. Doug arrived just after dinner (and after dark) to join us. We enjoyed hiking today and spending time with new friends in Lucas' Cub Scout Pack.

Veteran's Day Parade

We participated in the Veteran's Day parade today to honor our veterans. My dad marched with the Knights of Columbus, the boys and I walked with Cub Scout pack 446.

All Saints Celebration

We enjoyed celebrating the communion of saints last night at our annual All Saints Day colloquium. There were several new faces this year... a one week old, a two week old, a one month old, and Zachary (almost 4 months). Timmy was mourning his dropped banana muffin so he chose not to participate in the games.

Play ball!

Lucas is playing catcher in a coach-pitch level game. I don't think we'll be continuing with baseball in the spring. His heart just isn't in it.

Baby swing

Babies are so wonderful, that sometimes Timmy likes to think of himself as our middle baby (and wants to be waited on accordingly). I guess that would make Lucas our big baby, but he's much too independent to admit it.

Happy birthday, Connor!

Brenda, a friend from Lucas' playgroup, threw an awesome birthday party for her son Connor. It was a big carnival! We had a great time catching up with friends and enjoying the beautiful day.

Trick or treat!

Why did the angel, a ghost, and a pumpkin walk down the street? To get candy, of course! We had fun trick-or-treating with friends from our neighborhood. It was like a big block party, someone even had an inflatable bouncy house in their front yard.
