Baseball in July

We went to another Round Rock Express game with Aunt Christine and our good friends the Nicholsons (sitting behind us). This was their son Thomas's first baseball game, and he stayed all the way till the end. Fastest game I've ever been to, only 1 hour and 45 minutes long. After the game, our way out was blocked by players signing autographs, but we eventually found a way around them.

Rockin River

We went to Rockin River with Uncle James, Aunt Melanie, and Jamie. It's amazing how combining water and a brisk breeze can make you cold even when it's 100 degrees outside.

feeding a goat

We went with Aunt Christine to buy her first goat. The owner let the kids give the baby goat a bottle.

Salt crystals

Another of our home-grown experiments. The cubic crystals we expected, the salt frosting the top and outside of the glass was interesting. I wonder how the dissolved salt managed to climb up and out of the glass like that.

We made our annual trip to the lake with our friend Lucy and her jet ski. Both boys enjoyed riding it, but Timmy was happier when mommy drove.

Ice Skating

We decided to try our hand at ice skating last weekend. Timmy loved the idea, but was very uncertain on the ice. Lucas did great, even skating by himself for a little ways.

Schlitterbahn family trip

We've been spending a lot of time at the pool this summer. Besides getting a nice tan, Lucas is making a lot of progress in learning how to swim!

Happy birthday Meemaw!

For Meemaw's birthday we went to the park to ride the train, swim, have a picnic on the playground (with the bees), and watch the hillside production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
