Timmy's second birthday party

Timmy's second birthday

We've been making piniatas for playgroup and Timmy's party. The green one has ants on it, the middle one has handprints, and the right one (that looks like a monkey) is supposed to be Bob the builder.

Chasing Firefighters

The firefighters were testing the fire hydrants in our neighborhood, we chased them around the block. That's an impressive amount of water pressure!

Dino Riders

Playing with a good friend from playgroup. Their escapades include breaking large rocks, exploring far-flung trails, and tormenting antpiles.

After I took this picture, he proceeded to continue painting... himself.

Boomer boys

Lucas has invented a new club, Boomer boys. Their activities usually involve experiments (i.e. large messes) with sand. But it keeps him happily occupied for hours! Here he and a friend are working together to fill a pool noodle with "soap sand" (a mixture of sand a bubble soap). Why? I have no clue.

Home School

Well, it's official. We've decided to home school Lucas for Kindergarten, and he's now a registered student at Kolbe Academy. We recieved our last shipment of books today, and we're starting our school year at the beginning of March. Lucas is really excited, he wants to start tomorrow. Should be a fun adventure!

"Wait, cook"

Timmy loves helping in the kitchen. We just put something in the oven and he's waiting for it to finish cooking so he can take it out (not that we would let him!)

Choo choo!

A few Saturdays back it was Timmy's name day (the feast day of the saint he was named for). We celebrated by spending the morning at Zilker park and making a cake.
