Glow in the dark

We had a good time at the mall yesterday. First Lucas watched his first movie in the theaters, Curious George. Timmy slept through most of it. Then we went glow-in-the-dark mini golfing, had lunch at the food court, went shopping at the Dollar Tree, and played in the children's area. Outings are much easier with two adults! Posted by Picasa

Can I eat it? Please?

hair cut

We had to give Timmy a trim because his bangs were getting in his eyes. He's now very blond. Posted by Picasa

Timmy starts solids

I wanted to wait until he was six months old before starting solids, but he's ready now. Timmy wants to sit at the table with us and grab our food, and whenever we eat he watches us raptly and chews along. So I made up some rice cereal from as recommended by and Lucas helped me feed him. No tongue thrust reflex, he gulped it down. I think I need to work on making the powder finer, because he was making funny faces about the texture. Posted by Picasa

Timmy chills with a bottle

While mom and dad went to see the pirate movie, Timmy and Lucas played with Meemaw (whose birthday is today). I think this is only the second time Timmy has had a bottle, and the first time he's had a bottle of milk. Posted by Picasa

Quote of the day

Lucas, "If God has the whole world in his hands, how can he spank me?"

note: I have no idea where he got the notion that God spanks anyone, but it's fun to see how little minds put two and two together to get three.

In other news, Timmy decided to take only two longer naps today instead of the four short ones he usually has, and he was full of giggles splashing around in the backyard pool with Lucas.

Timmy's view

Fun in the sun

Timmy watches Lucas slash down on the slip-n-slide. Timmy thought the water was too cold, but he had fun watching! At first Lucas did't want to play in the backyard, now can't get him to come back inside! Posted by Picasa

Hmmm... the shirt is shrinking

After my last post I remembered how big that little brother shirt used to be on Timmy. This is the first time he wore it. Posted by Picasa

Timmy takes a tumble

I was sitting next to the couch Timmy was lying on playing with him while Lucas did "gravity experiments" (with chutes and marbles) behind me. I turned around to help Lucas, and Timmy decided to do a gravity experiment of his own. Thankfully he was surprised but fine (he only fell about a foot before he landed on my foot). Must be more carefulnow that he's "mobile". So... where are moms supposed to go to get those eye implants in the back of the head? Posted by Picasa

Tummy time is more fun with friends

Today we spent four hours at a neighborhood park with friends from our playgroup. We had lots of fun! Thanks Andrea, Claire, Dominic, and Calvin for inviting us to play with you. Posted by Picasa

Train Ride

Thankfully, the rain passed in time to enjoy some of the festivities. Happy Independance day everyone! Posted by Picasa

This is the clouds opening up and raining on our parade. Made for some soggy candy. Posted by Picasa

4th of July Parade

We all went to a friend's house in Wells Brach for some 4th of July festivities. This is Lucas and Doug collecting the candy they're throwing out at the parade. Posted by Picasa

Big pants

Erin has some big shoes to fill. Firefighters are neat, but I still want to be a construction worker when I grow up. And play the pipe organ like Chris at church. Posted by Picasa

Visiting the firehouse

We went to see our friend Erin, who is a volunteer firefighter. The trucks are really big! Posted by Picasa
